The look includes a vintage 1940’s suit and fedora hat which is reflected in an applique on the back of the jacket. A quilted evening bag was included along with a cuff bracelet as a feminine interpretation of his famous armband. The surface design elements include free motion quilting, hand beading, and a diverse palette of Swarovski crystals. The colors represent the Jackson Five’s Peacock Production Company from the early years. Knapp created an earlier Michael Jackson ensemble entitled “Just Bead It” shortly after the artists’ death representing a garment of mourning, whereas the more recent work is intended to be a celebration of his life. The ensembles share a similar peplum design and are intended to complement each other. In addition to inspiring innovation in the arts, Michael Jacksons’ message is that the show must go on. No matter what happens in life, hold your head high and “follow your dreams wherever they may lead”. I received an amazing e-mail from Mrs. Kathy Kasperovich-Knapp husband, Mr. Bill Knapp updating me on Mrs. Kathy Kasperovich-Knapp latest work. We have featured Mrs. Kathy Kasperovich-Knapp here on the site before for her amazing work an earlier Michael Jackson ensemble entitled “Just Bead It” shortly after Michael Jackson's passing. Her newest work recently won 1st place at the National Quilt Association show in Columbus Ohio. We are truly honored to feature her here on We Love 3T again. Also, to thank Mrs. Kathy Kasperovich-Knapp and her huband Mr. Bill Knapp we will be placing their names with 400 plus fans for "Our Sunflowers For Michael", to learn more please log on to: http://welove3t.weebly.com/our-sunflowers-for-michael.html. Please leave Mrs. Kasperovich-Knapp comments on your thoughts about her latest work.
