Born a California native and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa from the age of 10 and having a family deeply involved in the music industry, is what helped create this musical genius of the 21st century. At the tender age of ten, Tommy Parker began playing the piano by ear and singing in the Afro-American Music Institutes (A.A.M.I) boys choir. "As a child I went to sleep listening to all the greats such as Stevie Wonder, The Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye, and so many more. These legends inspired me to sing and dance at a very early age". As an artist of great talents Tommy Parker has cultivated a musical sound that is all familiar yet intriguingly new. With his new and improved Pop sound that embodies a hint of R&B, Tommy Parker has opened a door to a new genre amongst his peers. He explains "As a producer for the power house R.J. Productions(Janet Jackson, Brandy, The Pussycat Dolls), I enjoy making music that has depth and inspires great feelings". With the growing popularity of Austin Brown and the Backpack Kids, fans wanted to know more and more about Tommy Parker. His work with his mentor and business partner Rodney Jerkins/Darkchild and his strong ability on the keys as backup vocals for Austin Brown’s band has made him a fan favorite. "I love his music, I've been a fan since I first heard it". -Rodney Jerkins Thirty (30) fans came together on 85' A.B. to form a new group in support of Tommy Parker. In support of the new group and Tommy Parker, his best friend Amber (owner of We Love 3T and 85 A.B.) thought about several different nicknames for Tommy. His newest one came to her mind and she decided with the other members that this new group for Tommy Parker should be called "Prince Parker Fans". "Tommy has been my biggest supporter and I am so thankful because I was nervous about him seeing it at first. You just don’t know how a person will react. I place my heart and soul into each website and try to pay respect to each individual's craft so when they see it, I can only hope for the best." -Amber The group later turned into a website called "The Official Prince Parker Fans" in April of 2012 and now currently has over 1,000 fans. During the time the website was just starting out, Amber announced that after talking with Tommy Parker, they would be teaming up to bring the fans a new interactive page called "Tommy Tuesdays". "Tommy Tuesdays" features questions from Amber to Tommy Parker and Tommy Parker's answers to her questions. This way fans have a chance to know a little more about Tommy Parker and his amazing work as a musician, producer and artist. She hoped later to, and did expand "Tommy Tuesdays" to fans and allow the fans to write in and receive an answer to their questions as well from Tommy Parker. "Tommy and I started Tommy Tuesdays. Fans on 85 A.B. had been asking about Tommy. They had seen him with Austin Brown and they wanted to know more. So after talking it over with Tommy, Tommy Tuesdays was born and we have had a lot of fun working on that together." -Amber Through "Tommy Tuesdays" fans get to experience his music and thoughts on various topics which have included his thoughts on Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson. Tommy Parker is a very close friend of the Jackson family. He has worked with and produced for Janet Jackson and Austin Brown. He is sorry to say that he was never able to work with the great Michael Jackson but, wanted to. Tommy worked with Janet Jackson on the song “Make Me”. Janet Jackson released and dedicated “Make Me” to her brother Michael Jackson. Amber asked him during one "Tommy Tuesdays" If you could go back in time and work with someone, who would it be and why? Tommy Parker's answer was "Of course, Michael Jackson, because I have always wanted to work with a king." When Amber asked Tommy Parker "What was it like working with Janet Jackson in the studio? Tommy Parker responded by saying Well, I wasn’t side by side with her but, I did meet her a lot. It was great; she is such a sweet person. She was very nice to my mom and to me. She really loves me and my family and I Really love her and her family. She is amazing. Tommy Parker since that interview was able to work with Janet Jackson again, overseas for her new upcoming album. He is a name that fans have grown to love and respect.
